About this role
Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking an Electrophysiology Technician to join the EP Lab. This is a travel position offering 4x10 day shifts over an 84-week assignment beginning June 22, 2026. You will earn $2,678.40 per week.
Role Overview
You will work in a 2-room EP Lab serving 8–12 patients daily with a patient ratio of 1:5. Your responsibilities include assisting with electrophysiology procedures, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, AICD insertion and programming, pacemaker insertion, tilt table studies, and dysrhythmia interpretation. You will maintain sterile field protocols, perform room circulation and scrubbing duties, and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias. Work includes specialized equipment such as BIOSENSE WEBSTER CARTO, ABBOTT ENSITE X, MICROPACE, and FARAPULSE BOSTON SCIENTIFIC. You will use Epic and Pyxis systems.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Current BLS, ACLS, and one of the following: ARRT R, CCI RCIS, or CCI RCES
- Flu vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions only)
- 6 hours of orientation with full compliance required before start date
Scheduling and Staffing Details
Block scheduling includes every other weekend coverage unless otherwise specified. Call requirements may extend your shift if on call that day, but no weekend call is required. Holiday work is based on assignment period: work 1 holiday if 1 falls during assignment, both if 2 fall, or 2 out of 3 if 3 fall. Maximum 7 days RTO allowed with blackout dates April 4–12. Floating within facility and scope of practice is rare but possible. Scrubs are provided by the facility.
