RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts, available in both day (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) and night (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) rotations
• Rotating weekend schedule required
• No on-call requirements
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13 or 26 week assignment length
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Must be proficient with hemodynamic monitoring including Swan-Ganz catheters and arterial lines
• Must be competent with ventilator management
• Must be experienced with IABP, Nxstage, Impella, and ECMO devices
• IABP and CRRT exposure preferred
• Perform post-CABG, post-VAD, and post-cardiac catheterization care with various cardiac support devices
• Document using Meditech system; Meditech charting and order entry experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Active Texas RN license required; temporary license not accepted
• All travelers are required to float per facility floating policy
• Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket
• Nail policy: Clean and healthy nails required
• Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be neatly trimmed
• Body art should be covered whenever possible
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
• Badging in and out for each shift is required along with taking a full 30-minute lunch break
• Clock-in time is 6:38 AM/PM; after 6:45 AM/PM is considered tardy
