Med Surg RN Job in Cartersville, GA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on the Medical Surgical unit at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center in Cartersville, Georgia. This is a 56-week travel assignment beginning June 29, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3x12 nights (three 12-hour night shifts per week)
• $1,814.40 weekly
• Every other weekend rotation
• No on-call responsibilities
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract, finalized at submission

Role Details

• 5:1 patient ratio across days, nights, and weekends
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Daily census of 20 patients across 20 beds and 20 rooms
• Float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• 6 hours of orientation provided
• Holiday work required: work all holidays if 1–2 fall during your assignment; work 2 out of 3 if 3 holidays fall during assignment (includes Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)

Requirements

• Georgia or Compact nursing license at time of submission
• 2 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Full compliance required to start on time

• Feeding tube care and management
• Heparin administration
• Isolation precautions and PPE
• Med/Surg and MS/Telemetry nursing
• Nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Non-invasive airway management and oral suctioning
• Ortho trauma and total joint replacement care
• Peripheral line and PICC line management
• IV insertion and maintenance
• PCA pump management
• Telemetry monitoring
• Rapid response and code team participation
• Wound care and wound vac management

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic charting system experience
• Community hospital background
• Trauma Level I or II experience
