About this role
Chesapeake Regional Medical Center is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist for interventional radiology and cardiology. You will work Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (with possible 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM start/end times), on a 4x10 schedule. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 22, 2026, offering weekly pay of $3,168.
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform interventional radiology and neurovascular procedures
- Assist with angioplasty, carotid stenting, embolization, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, TIPS procedures, and vertebroplasty
- Prep access sites and perform room circulation
- Maintain equipment and inventory
- Work with patients across all age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Participate in rotating on-call duties 2 weeks per month
Requirements:
- Allied Health Professional credential
- Valid Virginia license
- 3 years of experience in special procedures
- Certifications: ARRT CI, BLS, ACLS
- Neurovascular experience preferred
- Epic system experience required
- EKG testing required with 80% pass rate (one attempt, no remediation)
- Fit testing with no PAPR accommodation available
- No license or background hits accepted
Pre-Start Requirements:
- Complete 3 hours of billable modules before your start date
- First-time travelers will be considered
You will work in a fast-paced interventional setting, supporting advanced cardiovascular and neurological procedures. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively as part of a specialized team.
