PICU RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

You'll provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health. This is a 3x12 night shift position for an 89-day assignment beginning April 13, 2026. You'll earn $2,930.40 per week.

Your responsibilities include:

• Deliver nursing care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations, and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and discharge
• Make referrals for patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

Required qualifications: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program, current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC), current BLS certification from American Heart Association, and PALS certification from American Heart Association. You'll need strong verbal and written communication skills and computer proficiency, with the ability to respond to the cultural and language needs of patients.

Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Level 1 experience.
