Medical Lab Technician Job in Bethel, Alaska

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Lab Technician for a travel position at Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska. This is a 182-day assignment starting June 30, 2026.

Position Overview

You will perform laboratory tests and quality control procedures under the direction of the laboratory manager. You will operate clinical laboratory instrumentation as a laboratory generalist, work independently, and provide direction to Medical Laboratory Assistants. You will communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients regarding laboratory results.

Schedule and Compensation

• Shift: 5x8 Rotating
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week (note: first week hours may vary due to orientation)
• Bill rate: $85/hour
• Weekly pay: $2,710

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related field
• Board eligible by NCA or ASCP; board certification required within one year
• Certification as MT by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or CLS by National Accrediting Agency (NCA) required within one year
• One to three years of related or progressively more responsible experience in microbiology
