RN - ICU Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement includes 3 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) plus 1 Friday and 1 Monday per 4-week schedule
• Holiday shifts assigned as needed on a rotating basis
• Preference and block scheduling available based on unit needs
• Cancellation policy allows up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Acute care setting with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Nurse aides available on unit at a 10:1 ratio
• Free charge nurse available and not included in staffing ratios
• Intensivist in house during the day, on call at night, with 24/7 APP coverage
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 with vents, BiPAP, high flow, and nasal cannula equipment
• Monitor techs observe telemetry from a separate floor
• Titrate drips including Levophed, phenylephrine, Versed, paralytics, heparin, insulin, nicardipine, and vasopressin
• Care for patients with stroke, dialysis needs, head bleeds, ventric/EVD, and neurological disorders requiring critical care
• 20-bed Neuro ICU unit
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum ICU and critical care experience required
