Interventional Radiology RN Job in Farmington, CT

UConn John Dempsey Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse with interventional radiology experience for a travel assignment in Farmington, Connecticut.

Position Details

• Specialty: Interventional Radiology
• Shift: 4x10 days with rotating start times of 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, or 8:00 AM
• Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Duration: 140 days
• Start Date: June 26, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $3,650

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional and special radiographic procedures
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of physiology and anatomy
• Operate diagnostic equipment and utilize interventional techniques
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols
• Participate in rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities
• Accept mandatory overtime as part of unit rotation pool for coverage needs

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) degree
• Radiography Registry [R.T. (R)] by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• Minimum 2 years of experience performing interventional and special radiographic procedures
• Cardiac interventional or vascular interventional registry by ARRT, or registry eligible with commitment to obtain within 6 months
• Connecticut State license to practice radiography
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with maintenance required during employment
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification with maintenance required during employment

Preferred Qualifications

• Hybrid interventional radiology experience

Manager interview required. This position is subject to mandatory overtime as part of unit staffing requirements.
