Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - ICU Neuro</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Minimum 3 years experience in Neuro Intensive Care Unit required<br>• Level 1 Trauma experience required<br>• Travel experience required<br>• Must have NIHSS certification in hand to be considered<br>• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS<br>• Must be flexible with weekend requirements - able to work 50% of weekends in contract<br>• Patient ratios: 1:2-3 (days/nights 1:2, weekends 1:2-3)<br>• Care for adult and geriatric patients<br>• Work in neuro critical care unit that also cares for medical, surgical and trauma ICU patients<br>• Must be comfortable with ICP monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias<br>• Experience with IV starts, ventilator management, and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips required<br>• Floating required to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) at University and Methodist Hospitals<br>• Must agree to possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students<br>• Charge nurse responsibilities may be required with training provided<br>• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays<br>• Call-in shifts must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract<br>• Indiana/Compact license required in hand or fingerprint application submitted<br>• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This major academic medical center operates as a teaching facility with comprehensive trauma and critical care services.
