Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week guaranteed with facility allowed to call off 6 times during 13-week assignment
• On-call requirement: 18 days of call in an 8-week period
• CVOR call will also cover vascular cases
• Weekend coverage as needed
• Must float to Main OR when no CVOR cases are scheduled
• 2 years of experience required, first-timers accepted
• OR experience required for CVOR RN position
• Required certifications: Active unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid compact license, BLS, ACLS
• 8 hours of orientation
• Scrubs provided for CVOR RNs
• Free parking available
• Chart using Cerner system
• Work with Phoenix Cardiac Surgeons in one room
• Handle cases including Laser Lead Extractions, Dissections, CABG, Valves, MAZE, Endovascular cases, Thoracic procedures, Impella, and IABP
• Preference for individuals willing to help train core staff
• Must be comfortable with various procedures including coronary artery bypass grafts, valve replacements, vascular repairs, and thoracic surgeries
• Work with adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Daily census of 3 patients in 1 room with 2 beds
