Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Baton Rouge, LA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Ochsner Medical Center - Baton Rouge. This is a 91-day travel assignment on a 4x10 day shift schedule, beginning July 13, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,982.

Your Schedule and Duties

• Work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with flexibility to accommodate earlier or later procedures
• Standard procedure hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, adjusted as unit needs require
• Call duties divided equally among team members, typically two nights per week and every other weekend
• Weekend on-call coverage from close of business Friday through department opening Monday morning
• Must arrive within 30 minutes of notification when on call
• Float between Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab as staffing requires

Clinical Responsibilities

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of approximately 8 patients
• Perform conscious sedation monitoring and all IR department procedures
• Work competently with equipment in Cardiac Cath, EP, and Interventional Radiology
• Manage procedures across Cardiac Cath, peripheral vascular, EP, and Interventional Radiology specialties
• Support a full-service combination lab serving multiple intervention types

Requirements

• Current RN license: compact or Louisiana license in hand upon submission
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
• Previous travel healthcare experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA)
• Epic charting system experience
• Availability for emergency team assignments during facility emergency events
• Strict attendance policy; no call-ins permitted
• 24 hours of orientation provided
