Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health – Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a pediatric respiratory and neuro diagnostics role. You'll work three 12-hour night shifts per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, caring for neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients in a dynamic critical care environment.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12 night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call required
• Facility may call off up to one shift per two weeks per guaranteed hours policy
• Block schedule may be accommodated with prior approval
• All time-off requests must be submitted at time of application

Your Role

• Provide respiratory care and neuro diagnostics across the NICU and pediatric critical care units
• May float within scope depending on your experience, but no floating to sister facilities
• Support procedures including bronchoscopy and extubation

Experience & Credentials Required

• Minimum 2 years respiratory therapy experience (3 years preferred)
• Pediatric, neonatal, and infant experience required
• Current RRT certification
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• SC RRT license must be in hand at time of start
• NBRC or SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider) licensing accepted

Preferred Experience

• Bronchoscopy, extubation, NICU, and pediatric critical care experience
• Trauma Level I experience
• Epic charting experience

Compensation & Details

• Weekly pay: $2,306.88
• Assignment duration: 91 days
