Respiratory Therapist Job in Atlanta, GA

You will work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine setting at Piedmont Physicians Buckhead. This is a travel position offering a 5x8 day shift (40 hours per week) at $2,016 weekly pay for an 84-week contract beginning June 29, 2026.

Your Role

You will perform advanced respiratory diagnostics for an adult patient population. Your daily responsibilities include conducting spirometry, plethysmography, lung volume testing, FeNo measurement, and 6-minute walk tests with or without oxygen titration. You will manage approximately 25 patient visits per day across a census of 50 patients. No weekend coverage, floating, or on-call requirements are part of this assignment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (outpatient setting with Vyaire PFT Box experience preferred)
• Proficiency with Vyaire PFT Box for all diagnostic procedures
• Current BLS certification
• Current CRT or RRT credential and GA State License
• Proficiency in Epic electronic charting system
• Travel experience required

What to Expect

You will complete 24 hours of orientation and specialty-specific training during non-billable time prior to beginning billable work. Full compliance with the orientation schedule is required to start on time; non-compliance may result in a 2-week contract pushback due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling. You must be available to work major holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day) according to the following policy: if 1–2 major holidays fall during your contract, you work all of them; if 3 or more major holidays fall during your contract, you work 2 of them. You may request up to 7 days of time off during the contract period.

Facility Details

Piedmont Physicians Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Buckhead is an outpatient diagnostic facility located in Atlanta. You will work in a professional environment requiring black or dark gray scrubs. This position does not involve inpatient care, intensive care settings, or overnight shifts.
