Med Surg RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgery and Stepdown units at OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center in Oklahoma City. This is a travel position with a 3x12 night shift schedule, running for 89 days starting May 4, 2026. You will earn $2,664 weekly.

Your responsibilities include:

• Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from straightforward to complex
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document their responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, intervening when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge procedures
• Delegate tasks to support staff and make referrals for patient care needs

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• BLS (AHA) certification
• ACLS (AHA) certification
• ONS/ONCC certification
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills and ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients

Preferred qualification: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
