PCU RN Job in Asheville, NC

You are needed as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a contract replacement position with 2–3 openings available.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care to individuals requiring intermediate-level monitoring and support
• Administer medications and manage medication-related documentation
• Monitor patients using advanced monitoring equipment and telemetry systems
• Assess patient conditions and maintain accurate care plans and documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care

What We're Looking For

• Current RN licensure (required)
• Progressive Care Unit experience preferred

Position Details

• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Contract Length: 91 days
• Start Date: March 30, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $2,102.40

You will work in a fast-paced environment where your nursing expertise directly impacts patient outcomes. The PCU serves as a bridge between acute care and general medical-surgical units, requiring nurses who can manage patients with complex needs and respond quickly to changing conditions. Your role includes continuous patient assessment, communication with physicians and specialists, and coordination with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and other clinical departments.
