About this role

You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM at Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. in Lexington, Kentucky. This 89-week travel assignment begins June 29, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,264.40.

As an RN on the Med Surg unit, you will deliver direct patient care centered on patient-focused outcomes and healing environments. Your responsibilities include:

  • Performing comprehensive patient assessments within RN scope of practice
  • Developing problem lists and prioritizing patient needs based on interprofessional team collaboration
  • Designing culturally appropriate care interventions tailored to patient age and developmental stage
  • Implementing patient care therapies and procedures with appropriate clinical autonomy
  • Explaining procedures, treatments, and care processes to patients and families at their comprehension level
  • Recognizing, responding to, and communicating changes in patient condition to the care team
  • Delegating tasks appropriately and supervising team members in care activities
  • Monitoring accuracy and completeness of patient care delegated to others
  • Identifying and addressing patient educational needs
  • Facilitating the discharge process by executing orders in a timely manner
  • Coordinating with Case Management and other departments as needed
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and pressure ulcer prevention
  • Maintaining documentation and monitoring requirements for core measures
  • Supporting unit-based activities that align with organizational values

You will promote positive group dynamics, apply a holistic perspective to patient care delivery, and work some holidays and weekends as required. This role offers the opportunity to practice nursing with clinical autonomy while contributing to a collaborative, patient-centered care environment.
