Pharmacy Technician Job in Ephrata, PA

WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for inpatient pharmacy operations. This is a 91-day travel assignment running 4x10 hour shifts, scheduled Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, with no weekend, floating, or on-call requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

• Receive, stock, and manage deliveries of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies
• Prepare, package, and label medications prior to dispensing to patient care areas
• Deliver medications to hospital departments and off-site locations
• Compound both non-sterile and sterile medication preparations
• Monitor inventory using electronic management systems and EPIC
• Track product expirations and manage recalls
• Perform cleaning and disinfection procedures in accordance with pharmacy standards
• Handle clerical duties including phone support and supply maintenance
• Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians and pharmacy interns
• Identify and develop at least one specialized skill area within pharmacy practice

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience
• Pennsylvania pharmacy technician license
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician (ACPH) certification
• IV training and sterile compounding experience
• Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems
