X-Ray Technician Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health – Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital is seeking an X-Ray Technician for a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 29, 2026. You will work 3x12 hour night shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with on-call responsibilities and the possibility of weekday orientation shifts in the first week.

About the Role

You will support radiology and cardiology services in a dedicated pediatric imaging environment. Your responsibilities include:

• Performing diagnostic radiography on patients ranging from neonates to adults
• Operating Siemens diagnostic equipment and C-Arms
• Floating to other pediatric imaging locations and campus buildings as needed for critical staffing coverage
• On-call availability Monday–Friday (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) and weekends (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Documenting patient information using the Epic system
• Participating in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)

Requirements

• Current ARRT certification and valid BLS certification
• ARRT (R) and SCRQSA (R) certifications accepted
• South Carolina license in hand prior to start date
• Minimum 1 year of dedicated pediatric imaging experience
• OR experience and C-arm experience required; O-arm experience preferred (training available)
• Trauma experience preferred but not required
• You must provide your own radiation badge

Assignment Details

Weekly pay is $1,814.40. Guaranteed hours apply; the facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. You will receive 8 hours of orientation. First-time travelers are welcome. Uniform requirements are teal top and black bottoms. A one-time parking pass fee of $20 applies for night and weekend shifts.
