CVOR Registered Nurse Job in Baltimore, MD

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Operating Room (CVOR) at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. This 91-day travel assignment runs 4x10 hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with an on-call component requiring weekday and weekend availability within each 6-week schedule period.

Your responsibilities include:

• Circulate and scrub heart and vascular cases with daily census of 1–9 patients across 3 rooms
• Circulate for structural heart procedures
• Assist with TAVR, CABG, AVR, MVR, AAA repair, TCAR, EVAR, thrombectomy, carotid endarterectomy, cardioversion, and TEE
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including CAD, atrial fibrillation, peripheral vascular disease, pulmonary embolism, AAA, and carotid stenosis

Requirements:

• Current Maryland license (compact or MD license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR and open-heart surgery experience
• Completion of at least 1 prior travel assignment
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Ability to scrub

On-call schedule: You'll have weekday call Monday 4:00 PM–6:00 AM and weekend call Friday 4:00 PM–Monday 6:00 AM, with 4 on-call weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Within each 6-week period, you'll work 2 weekdays and 2 weekends.
