Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Every other weekend schedule with holidays required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must be able to work independently with minimal to no supervision, particularly during weekend shifts
• Work independently with invasive and non-invasive ventilation, draw ABGs, and perform airway management including assisting with intubations
• Must be proficient with ventilators, various PAP modalities, hi-flow O2, and perform PFTs
• Must be willing to learn new skills such as home sleep testing and pulmonary rehabilitation
• Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric
• EMR system: Cerner experience required
• Dress code: Business casual or personal scrubs of any color
• Facility is a Critical Access Hospital
• Must work one holiday block if scheduled: Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the weekend after, or New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the weekend after
• Non-billable orientation: 8 hours
• 2+ years of current Registered Respiratory Therapy experience required
• Must have critical access, community, or rural hospital experience required
• At least 6 months of previous travel experience highly preferred
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NBRC (Active RRT Certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care)
• Vermont RRT License required and must be uploaded with profile
• Skills checklist for Registered Respiratory Therapy/RRT current within one year required
• 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• All requested time off must be noted and verified at time of upload - no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted
• Any scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission
