Registered Nurse - CVICU @ Piedmont Augusta Hospital

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 10-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit specializing in complex cardiac patients
• Maintain patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2 with typical assignment of 2 patients
• Care for patients with LVADs, balloon pumps, swan catheters, temporary pacemakers, femoral and venous sheaths, arterial lines, TR bands, and CRRT patients
• Titrate cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, and sedation for intubated patients
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds with intensivist and care team at 10 AM Monday-Friday
• Manage patients post-AAA repairs requiring specific positioning and close monitoring
• Work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
• Float within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Work major holidays if they fall during assignment period
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Spring Break blackout dates (April 4th-12th)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Minimum 2 years experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Use Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems
• Patient population: Adults to geriatrics
• Full compliance required to start on time
• 24 orientation hours required
