Surgical Tech - Endoscopy

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with occasional long shifts if cases run over
• 13-week assignment with no floating required
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• Work with adult patients only
• May be assigned to procedure room or scope room
• Daily census of approximately 25 patients
• Work in 2-room endoscopy unit
• Patient ratio of 5 during day shifts
• 8 hours of orientation provided
• Use EPIC charting system
• Required certifications: SGNA and BLS
• Minimum 1 year of endoscopy experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• First-time travelers welcome
• Must provide interview availability with submission
• RTO (Request Time Off) required upon submission
• Responsibilities include assisting with biopsies, balloon dilators, colonoscopy, EGD procedures, high-level disinfection, instrument processing and cleaning, specimen labeling, procedure setup, and restocking supplies
• Must be proficient with endoscopes, colonoscopes, EGD scopes, electrosurgical units, forceps, polyp snares, and washer/sterilizer equipment
