Infusion Nurse Manager Job in Sitka, Alaska

Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka, Alaska is seeking an experienced RN Nurse Manager for Infusion Services (chemotherapy and immunotherapy). This is a days shift position with a 91-day contract starting August 17, 2026. Weekly pay is $4,276.80.

Position Requirements:

• Alaska nursing license required at time of submittal
• Minimum 5 years of professional nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years of chemotherapy/immunotherapy experience as a staff RN
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred
• ACLS certification required; PALS and NRP certifications preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial performance, annual budgets, and cost-effective use of staff and resources
• Coordinate nursing orientation for new staff and monitor skill development
• Make patient care assignments based on acuity, complexity, and staff qualifications
• Revise and implement department policies, procedures, and standards
• Facilitate quality improvement activities to monitor patient care compliance
• Plan, prepare, and approve staffing schedules and employee leave requests
• Evaluate staff performance, recommend recognition, and address performance or behavioral concerns
• Communicate administrative and unresolved issues to the Chief Nursing Officer
• Implement regulatory agency standards including Joint Commission and CMS requirements
• Assume Acting Chief Nursing Officer duties in the CNO's absence

Technical Requirements:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and EHR systems
• Proficiency operating and monitoring specialized medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG machines, and suction devices
