ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 6:45 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Rotate holidays with permanent staff
• 2 years of ICU experience required to be considered
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• 10-bed ICU unit with lower acuity patients including pneumonia, CHF, sepsis
• Monitor and read own telemetry using Phillips monitors
• Work with Draeger ventilators
• Floor-specific orientation of 3 shifts
• No floating requirement outside unit; can float to ER if qualified and credentialed
• Charge nurses take patients
• No nurse aides available
• Dress code: Hunter green pants, white tops, white jackets, or solid white
• Use MEDITECH charting system
• IV team available Monday through Friday for hard sticks and midlines
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7
• Hospitalist in house covers entire facility
• Pharmacy in house during day, Omnicell available after hours
• May occasionally care for surgical pediatric patients
• BSN not required
• Must reside within 75-mile radius of facility
• 12 hours guaranteed every 2 weeks cancellation policy
