RN - ICU Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract length
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU units with possible float to other critical care units and inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday requirement
• No on-call requirements but contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Unit may low census in 4-hour increments and could ask for 4 or 8-hour shift work
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years experience required with 1 travel assignment preferred
• Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU background with strong Neuro assessment skills required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Work in 8-bed Neuro unit caring for stroke, TBI, head injury, and neurosurgery patients
• Experience with EVDs and ICP monitoring needed
• Perform Neuro assessments and basic bedside ICU procedures including line placement and intubation
• Handle bolt and drain bedside placements with Neurosurgery
• Must be able to manage independently and complete tasks timely
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• During flu season, unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times per facility policy
