Telemetry RN Job in Corpus Christi, TX

You'll join the 3 West Telemetry unit at Doctors Regional Medical Center, providing nursing care in a medical/surgical orthopedic setting. This is a 13-week travel assignment with a start date of April 13, 2026.

Role Overview

As an RN on this 22-bed telemetry unit, you'll care for a maximum of 6 patients per assignment. You'll work a 3x12 day shift schedule (7 AM–7 PM) with a rotating weekend requirement. Float assignments to other medical/surgical units may be needed based on census.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to medical/surgical orthopedic patients on telemetry monitors
• Perform IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, and central line maintenance
• Administer medications and maintain accurate electronic health records using Meditech EMR
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members
• Manage 4–6 patients safely and competently during your shifts

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2+ years acute medical/surgical nursing experience within the past year
• Ability to care for 4–6 patients simultaneously
• 2+ years orthopedic nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach
• Professional demeanor and reliability in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Details

Weekly pay is $1,708.20. Standard scrubs are required. The assignment runs for 91 days with a structured 3x12 day schedule that allows for consistent patient relationships and manageable workload distribution.
