RN - Post Anesthesia Care

Job Details:

• Day shift, 12-hour shifts
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 48 hours preferable, 36 hours acceptable
• Saturday day shifts will be scheduled every other weekend
• Weekend call requirements every other weekend
• On-call responsibilities required
• Float requirements: Must float to PACU/IMC/ICU as needed
• Work in a 40-bed pre/post unit with 9 overnight bays (23-hour short stay embedded)
• Patient ratios: 2:1 Phase 1 care (up to 3-4 in 23-hour stay)
• Care for Cath/EP/TEE cardioversion OR procedure pre/post patients, vascular, robotic TAVR, and pediatric cath patients
• Perform Phase 1 and Phase 2 post-op care, including post-op Cath/EP/TAVR, robotics, and vascular procedures
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Manage cardiac drips, IVs, telemetry monitoring, Phase 1 care, groin management, and EKGs
• Handle pre and post procedure TEE/CV/Cath/EP OR procedures
• Equipment used: IV pumps, PCAs, epidurals, A-lines, telemetry monitoring, TEE/CV
• EMR system: Epic
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Minimum 3 years of PACU experience with recent years required
• ICU experience required
• Trauma Level 1 experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Scrub color: Any color, fragrance-free environment
• Artificial nails and cell phone use are not permitted
