CVOR Technologist Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a CVOR Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. You will work 5x8-hour day shifts with 40 guaranteed hours per week at $2,556 weekly pay. Start date is June 1, 2026.

Role Responsibilities

• Set up operative suites and prepare case carts to ensure all supplies are available before procedures
• Scrub surgical cases across a variety of specialties with 3 cardiothoracic surgeons performing approximately 50–60 cases per month
• Support cardiac and thoracic procedures, including thoracic robot experience
• Turn over rooms efficiently for multiple procedures throughout the day
• Perform downtime tasks including pulling case carts and cleaning as needed
• Use Epic charting system for documentation

Scheduling & On-Call

• On-call requirements: 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month, 1 backup per week with 30-minute response time
• Every 3rd weekend rotation with holiday rotation required
• May float to all Central Aspirus locations if needed
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of unbillable low-census hours with call-back minimum of 2 hours

Requirements

• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• CST license (NBSTSA or NCCT accepted)
• Minimum 2+ years CVOR experience required
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certificate preferred
• Must be located outside 50-mile radius of facility
