ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Minimum 18 months of MICU experience required; 2 years preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: AHA or Red Cross BLS, ACLS (must have at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• Will float to all three hospital locations within 20 miles (Martin North, South, and Tradition)
• EPIC charting system experience required; time-sensitive modules must be prioritized upon assignment confirmation
• All requested time off must be included at time of submission; requests added later will likely not be approved
• No pending licenses accepted
• Block scheduling not available
• Scrub color: White
• Parking is free in any unrestricted space
• Required clinical skills include: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, arterial line management, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), suctioning (ETT, NT), and isolation precautions/PPE
• EKG and pharmacology test required during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts each; travelers will be cancelled if failed
• Non-billable orientation modules averaging 6 to 15 hours must be completed prior to start and annually, varying by specialty
