Cath Lab Technologist Job in Akron, OH

You'll work as a Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist in our Cath Lab, supporting cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. This role combines technical expertise with direct patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Schedule and Compensation

• 4 ten-hour day shifts per week
• Call required every 6 weeks plus 1 night week
• $3,358 weekly pay
• 89-day assignment starting April 27, 2026

Your Responsibilities

• Operate fluoroscopic imaging equipment during cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures under physician supervision
• Provide scrub assistance to cardiologists throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Enter procedural events and information into hemodynamic computer systems
• Provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful procedure completion
• Demonstrate ability to operate lab equipment, catheters, and guide wires
• Apply knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, EKG interpretation, aseptic technique, and radiation safety practices
• Lift and position patients as required
• Work independently within established procedures and exercise professional judgment

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiological Technologists
• Ohio Department of Health (ODH) licensing in accordance with Ohio Revised Code
• R.T. (R) ARRT certification
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification required or must be completed within one year after orientation

Preferred Qualifications

• CVI, RCIS, or RCES certification
• One year radiologic technologist experience in Diagnostic Area, Special Procedures, or Cath/EP Lab
