Alaska TDY Physical Therapist $120 RATE

PT - Physical Therapist

Job Details:

• Provide full-time quality outpatient and inpatient physical therapy care
• Treat patients of all age ranges and diagnoses within Alaska's physical therapy scope of practice
• Incorporate evidence-based medicine into patient care plans
• Modify patient care plans using age-specific and patient-specific considerations
• Work in both hospital-based and village-based settings
• Hospital environment includes hi-lo table, whirlpool, therapeutic exercise equipment, ultrasound and electric stimulation modalities
• Village-based work involves bringing necessary equipment for patient care (theraband, exercise programs, etc.)
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program required
• No minimum clinical experience required, though hospital-based experience is helpful
• Must be licensed in good standing in Alaska as a Physical Therapist or have completed FSBPT paperwork to work as Student Physical Therapist
• Current BLS certification required
• Must demonstrate professional conduct, patient care ethics, and respect for cultural diversity
• Ability to communicate effectively with members of different cultures who may not speak English
• Proficiency in MS Office programs, email, and internet research required
• Strong documentation and medical correspondence skills needed
