Physical Therapist Job in Bethel, AK

You'll deliver full-time physical therapy care in both hospital and village-based settings across Alaska's Yukon Kuskokwim region. This role offers you the opportunity to work with patients of all ages and diagnoses while applying evidence-based practice to individualized treatment plans.

Your responsibilities include:

• Provide outpatient and inpatient physical therapy services
• Develop and modify patient care plans using age-specific and patient-specific considerations
• Work in hospital environments equipped with hi-lo tables, whirlpool, therapeutic exercise equipment, ultrasound, and electric stimulation modalities
• Conduct village-based care using portable equipment such as theraband and customized exercise programs
• Maintain thorough documentation and professional medical correspondence
• Demonstrate cultural competency and effective communication with diverse patient populations, including non-English speakers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current Alaska PT license in good standing or completed FSBPT paperwork to work as Student Physical Therapist
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency in MS Office programs, email, and internet research
• Professional conduct, patient care ethics, and respect for cultural diversity
• Hospital-based experience is helpful but not required

Position details: Days shift, 119-day contract beginning April 7, 2026. Weekly pay is $3,504. You'll be based in Bethel, Alaska at Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation.
