PACU Registered Nurse Job in Philadelphia, PA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia. This is a 13-week travel contract starting August 10, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• Three 12-hour shifts per week at $2,384.64 weekly
• Shift times: 6:00 AM–6:30 PM (pre-op) or 8:00 AM–8:30 PM (post-op)
• On-call requirements: 2 Monday–Friday 8-hour shifts and 1 weekend 12-hour shift within a 6-week cycle
• 1 summer and 1 winter on-call holiday required
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated

Your Role

You will provide post-anesthesia recovery care for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients. Patient ratio is 2:1. You may float to Tabor GI or Pain Center as needed. Special procedures include craniotomies, liver and kidney transplants, GYN, urological, ENT, dental, general surgery, GI, cataract, vascular, and cardiac cath procedures, plus interventional radiology and Level I Trauma cases. You will manage specialized equipment including ventilators, A-lines, Swan catheters, ventricular catheters, drains, continuous bladder irrigation, and vasoactive IV titration.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years experience in Critical Care or PACU
• Level I Trauma experience and ICU background required
• SICU, MICU, and CTICU experience preferred
• Charge experience preferred
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
• Experience with Cerner Aecis Surgi Net charting system required
