Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour day shifts with both scrub and circulate responsibilities
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and NBSTSA (or NCCT if employed as ST in SC prior to January 1, 2008)
• Must complete successful completion of a Surgical Technology program or military training
• On-call requirements vary by specialty: Vascular (7-10 days including weekends), Hearts (10-15 days with 2 weekends)
• Weekend call includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Work with 5 rooms and 6 beds in cardiovascular operating room
• Perform procedures including angioplasty/stenting, aortic aneurysm repair, and coronary artery bypass graft
• Must demonstrate skills in aseptic technique, radiation safety, sharps safety, and specimen handling
• Experience with universal protocol procedures and mesh measuring required
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• 30-hour orientation period with modules completed within 48 hours
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Must be located more than 50 miles from facility to qualify for travel position
