SLP Job in Northridge, CA

You'll work as a Speech Language Pathologist in inpatient, outpatient, and rehabilitation settings at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 5, 2026, with 5×8 day shifts on an every-other-weekend schedule.

Your Role

You'll treat 9+ patients per day in outpatient settings and up to 13 per day in inpatient rehabilitation. Your caseload will include patients experiencing stroke, TBI, neurological conditions, trauma, cognitive impairments, and swallowing difficulties. You'll conduct bedside swallow studies and may perform video swallowing studies. You'll cover assigned areas with the potential to float to other departments based on facility needs. Start times vary depending on your assignment; your schedule may run Wednesday–Sunday or Thursday–Monday based on facility needs.

What You'll Need

• CCC-SLP certification via ASHA
• BLS certification
• One year of clinical experience
• Bedside swallow study experience required; video swallowing study experience preferred
• Travel and trauma experience preferred

What to Expect

You'll work with rehabilitation aides, OTAs, and PTAs in a collaborative care environment. The facility uses Cerner PowerChart electronic medical record system, and you'll receive 1.5 days of department-specific orientation including unit and Cerner training if needed. You'll wear a maroon polo shirt, dark-colored pants, closed-toe shoes, and an optional lab coat. There are no holiday requirements for this assignment.

Compensation

You'll earn $2,365.20 per week.
