ED Registered Nurse Job in Anniston, AL

Job Details:

• Work day shifts with every other weekend coverage required
• Maintain 1:4 nurse to patient ratio across all shifts
• 30-minute lunch break required with no skipped meals policy
• Minimum one year recent ER experience required
• Travel experience and Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Work in high acuity, high volume emergency department with 32 rooms
• Care for diverse patient population including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Handle general ER department functions in combined adult/pediatric work setting
• Perform blood product administration, central line care/management, and IV starts
• Manage continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration
• Handle ortho-trauma cases and identify/report abuse in pediatric patients
• Manage pediatric emergencies including near drowning, respiratory infections, and seizures
• Alabama nursing license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all via AHA), NIH stroke scale, and Fit Test
• Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Orientation includes specialty-specific modules averaging 8 hours
