ED RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Mission Hospital, a high-volume facility with 101 beds. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026, with a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week (6:45 PM–7:15 AM). You'll earn $1,918.44 weekly.

Your responsibilities include:

• Caring for patients across all ED sections with typical medical patient ratios of 4:1 and behavioral hold ratios up to 7:1
• Floating flexibly throughout the ED based on census and acuity; no floating outside the department
• Operating Baxter pumps and GE monitors, charting in the Cerner system
• Following AIDET patient experience standards and maintaining respectful behavior protocols
• Keeping patient boards current and communicating effectively with the care team
• Collaborating with available techs in cardiac monitoring, internal processing, triage, and unit clerks on day and night shifts

Every other weekend scheduling is required; block scheduling is not available. You'll wear the required navy scrubs uniform.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of ER experience
• Preferred: experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED with over 100,000 annual visits
• Strong teamwork mentality with ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Required Certifications (prior to start date): ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS. ENPC certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
