ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU/CCU

Job Details:

• Work 36 hours per week with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for CCU patients
• 20-bed Critical Care Unit
• Float policy requires contract labor to float before core staff
• Minimum 1 year of critical care experience required
• Meditech experience required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH certification required
• Advanced skills required: ability to manage arterial lines, venous/arterial sheaths, cardiovascular and vasopressor drips, and ventilated patients
• Procedures performed on unit include bedside central line placement and massive transfusion protocol
• Equipment used includes GE monitors, Alaris pumps, and Puritan Bennett ventilators
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Unit secretary available on days and nights with occasional tech support
• Required uniform: black scrubs
