RN - Endoscopy

Job Details:

• Work in an endoscopy unit averaging 45-65 cases daily across 8 procedure rooms serving both inpatients and outpatients
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
• Travel experience required
• Patient ratio of 2:1 during day shifts
• Assist with a wide range of GI procedures including basic EGDs and colonoscopies as well as complex interventional GI cases such as ERCP, EUS, POEMs, and cystgastrostomy
• Support bronchoscopy procedures alongside respiratory therapists based in the unit
• All cases supported by an in-house anesthesia group
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation and recover patients post-sedation
• Perform specimen handling and labeling
• Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
• Self-scheduling model
• Maximum of 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work them; if three major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two
• 20 orientation hours required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
