Opportunity:

RN - ER Med Surg

Job Details:

• Night shift position working hours of 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM or 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM with self/team scheduling
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every third holiday requirement
• Float between ER, Med Surg, and Swing Bed units as needed
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of ER experience
• Charge nurse experience required
• Critical Access Hospital experience strongly preferred
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: ER 1:3-4, Med Surg Days 1:5, Med Surg Nights 1:6
• Common ER diagnoses include traumas, strokes, STEMIs, chest pain, respiratory conditions, and lacerations
• Med Surg patients range from pediatrics to geriatrics with diagnoses including pneumonia, UTIs, observation patients, and swing bed patients
• Experience with common drips including Heparin and Levophed required
• RNs must independently read and interpret telemetry/monitor strips
• One 12-hour shift of unit/department specific orientation provided
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
