Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with variable start times including 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM, 11:30 AM - 12:00 AM, 1:30 AM - 2:00 AM, and 1:30 PM - 4:00 AM - AM shifts will be mixed with AM start times and PM shifts will be mixed with PM start times only
• Minimum 4 Saturdays/Sundays required within a 6-week period (2 weekends total)
• Holiday shifts as needed
• No on-call or standby requirements
• No block schedule - will be scheduled based on need
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Must have a minimum of 2.5 years of emergency department experience from a larger urban hospital setting
• Trauma experience preferred
• BSN required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac monitors (SpaceLabs cardiac monitors used)
• Administer and manage common drips including Nicardipine, Propofol, Fentanyl, Norepi, Nitro, Versed, and Precedex
• Treat a high volume of patients including pediatric and adult populations with diagnoses such as stroke, STEMI, trauma, and abdominal pain with high acuity ESI level I patients
• Draw labs as needed alongside CNAs and phlebotomy staff
• May rarely float to sister emergency department locations
• Charting system: EPIC
• No specific scrub color required as long as clean and professional
• 1 shift of unit/department-specific orientation following hospital and Epic orientation
