PICU Registered Nurse Job in Baltimore, MD

LBH - Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This is a 98-week contract position offering $2,732 weekly pay.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 days per week; client open to 4x12 schedules and contracts longer than 14 weeks
• Patient ratio: 1:2
• 5 weekends scheduled within each 6-week rotation; weekend coverage consists of Saturday or Sunday shifts
• No on-call requirement
• May float to Pediatrics and Pediatric ED as needed

Required Qualifications

• 1 year of PICU experience
• Strong dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills
• Central line and PICC line management experience
• Experience with anti-seizure medications, continuous sedation, IV vasopressors, and pediatric dosage calculations
• ICP monitoring experience
• Comfortable caring for ventilated pediatric patients and managing acute airways
• BiPAP/CPAP, ABG interpretation, and chest tube management experience
• Cerner charting system experience
• Certifications: BLS/BCLS, PALS, and Basic EKG
• Maryland or compact RN license required

Clinical Responsibilities

You will care for infant, pediatric, and adolescent patients with diagnoses including respiratory distress and failure, DKA, seizures, pain management, and sepsis. You will manage patients requiring moderate sedation, continuous drips, arterial lines, and central lines. Experience with ventilators, high-flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP/CPAP is required.

Dress Code Navy pants required.
