PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts available on both day and night schedules
• Day shift hours are 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Night shift hours are 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Traveler will be scheduled 5 weekends within each 6-week schedule; weekend coverage may consist of either a Saturday or Sunday shift
• Floating is required; traveler must be able to float to NICU and Pediatrics based on hospital needs
• No on-call requirement
• Block scheduling is not available; any schedule accommodations must be submitted and approved before offer
• 1 year of PICU experience required
• Strong dysrhythmia interpretation and management experience required
• Central line and PICC line management experience required
• Experience with anti-seizure medications, continuous sedation, IV vasopressors, and pediatric dosage calculations required
• ICP monitoring experience required
• Must be comfortable caring for ventilated pediatric patients and managing acute airways
• BiPAP/CPAP, ABG interpretation, and chest tube management experience required
• Special equipment experience required includes ventilators, high-flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP/CPAP
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, PALS, and Basic EKG
• Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission
• Navy pants required for scrub color
