PICU RN Job in Charleston, SC

Opportunity:

RN - Critical Care Peds Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
• Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across all Pediatric units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU
• No home unit - float pool position
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)
• ECMO and CRRT experience preferred
• Required skills include: Anti-Seizure Medications, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line/implanted line care, continuous sedation, ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, management of chest tubes, pediatric dosage calculations, and PICC line management
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Rapid Response Teams
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block scheduling available with manager approval dependent on unit needs
