ICU RN Job in Omaha, NE

CHI Health Immanuel is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 12, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,384.64.

Schedule and Staffing

• Work 3 shifts per week on a 12-hour night rotation (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM or 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirements vary based on unit needs
• Scheduling managed by unit scheduler

Clinical Responsibilities

• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 in the ICU
• Float to PCU and medical floors as needed (staffed at 1:4 and 1:5 respectively)
• Titrate critical drips including vasopressors, insulin, TNK, heparin, IV antibiotics, and sedatives
• Manage ventilators and BiPAP equipment
• Read and interpret telemetry monitor strips independently
• Provide care for patients with diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, CVA, TIA, DKA, sepsis, CHF, STEMI, and neuro cases

Support and Resources

• Charge nurse present on each shift with patient assignment
• Patient care techs available on unit
• 24/7 critical care coverage with E-ICU staffed by nurse and APRN

Orientation and Requirements

• First week of system orientation and onboarding followed by 1–2 shifts of unit-specific orientation
• Pass/fail open book exam required during orientation with a minimum score of 90% to pass
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• BSN not required
