ICU Registered Nurse Job in Hastings, NE

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in a 10-bed private ICU unit at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings, Nebraska. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting October 6, 2026, with 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Schedule and Staffing:

• Every other weekend required, with flexibility based on unit needs
• Every 3rd holiday required, with expectation to work one winter holiday
• No on-call or standby unless you volunteer
• Block scheduling available with gaps filled as needed
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, sometimes 1:3 for low acuity patients

Clinical Responsibilities:

You'll manage ICU patients with common diagnoses including DKA, CHF, MVA, CVA, sepsis, overdose, and general medical cases. You may float to the PCU (shared floor) or occasionally Med-Surg with patient assignments of 1:5–6 on Med-Surg.

Clinical skills required include management of art lines, PICC lines, ports, chest tubes, drains, wounds, ostomies, OG/NG tubes, arrhythmia identification, cardioversions, TEEs, post-heart cath patients, defibrillators, and pain management. You'll titrate drips including insulin, levo, Cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine, TPA, heparin, amio, Lasix, and sedation drips. You'll read your own telemetry strips using Philips monitors.

Requirements and Certifications:

• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience with ventilator experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• BSN not required

Charting and Logistics:

You'll chart in EPIC. Dress code requires any solid color scrubs with no designs and natural color hair. You must reside outside a 50-mile radius.

Compensation:

Weekly pay is $2,430.
