ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirement
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the emergency department required
• Travel experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Demonstrate understanding of evidence-based practice, pathophysiology, pharmacological implications, and service line disease processes
• Accurately and thoroughly document assessments and perform clinical procedures including IV, Foley, and dressings
• Provide effective patient and family education
• Properly utilize telemonitoring, IV, ventilator, and safe medication administration standards
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
• Perform triage and manage a wide range of emergency conditions including abdominal pain, acute psychosis, CVA, drug overdose, seizures, trauma, and psychiatric holds
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, continuous IV sedation, and IV vasopressors
• Administer blood products and procedural sedation
• Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG and arterial blood gases
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 4:1 across all shifts
• Charting system: Epic
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• California RN licensure required
