ED - Emergency Room

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department setting
• Patient ratio of 4:1 maintained across days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required with every other weekend minimum, with occasional back-to-back weekend coverage
• No guaranteed block or grouped shifts
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• California RN license required with valid Nursys verification
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be AHA or ARC)
• Additional certifications accepted: TNCC, NIHSS, CPI or MAB
• Charting experience required; Epic system used at this facility
• Community hospital experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• LTAC, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Must be comfortable caring for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Key clinical skills required include triage, IV management, blood product administration, interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs, procedural sedation monitoring, BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, phlebotomy, and interpretation services
• 2 references obtained within the last year required
• Maximum of 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract with only 1 holiday per contract allowed
