ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Minimum 5 years of emergency room nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Self-scheduling type
• 24 orientation hours
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 50-70 patients within a 12-room, 11-bed unit
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (must be AHA or ARC certified)
• Valid California state nursing license required
• Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, and triage
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and unit secretary
