ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Perform emergency nursing care for a wide range of patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• May be required to float to other ED campuses if overstaffed
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; 1 year of ED travel experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• Charting system experience required - Epic
• Clock in and out using Kronos
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, NIHSS
• Valid California RN licensure required
• Required skills include: triage, IV insertion and maintenance, phlebotomy, blood product administration, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, interpretation of arterial blood gases, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, arterial line management, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, ICP monitoring, sepsis protocol, isolation precautions and PPE, and identification and reporting of neglect or abuse
• Patient diagnoses include: abdominal pain, asthma, CVA, head injury, hyperglycemia, seizures, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, neuro-trauma, ortho trauma, traumatic amputation, gunshot wounds, near drowning, epiglottitis, respiratory infection, urinary tract infection, and infection
