Emergency Department RN Job in Susanville, CA

Banner Lassen Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning July 27, 2026, working 3x12 night shifts at $1,969 per week.

Role Overview

You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. Your responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Reviewing patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulating and implementing individualized care plans based on patient-specific assessment data and medical requirements
• Coordinating, delegating, and supervising healthcare team activities to implement patient care plans
• Evaluating patient and family response to care and teaching; revising plans as needed
• Documenting assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in patient records
• Participating in unit and facility shared leadership to support nursing quality indicators
• Providing precepting and mentoring to support staff growth

Requirements

• Current RN License (CA State)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Minimum one year acute care experience as a Registered Nurse in Emergency Department or specialty area, within the past 12 months
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Willingness to use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
